Overall, April is considered a pleasant and popular time to visit, with warm days, mild nights, and comfortable ocean conditions.
At this time of year, you’ll typically need shorts, T-shirts (or light long-sleeve shirts), hats, sunglasses, and reef-friendly sunscreen during the day.
You may also want to bring suitable shoes for hiking in the national park and reserves.
In the evenings, it’s a good idea to have long pants/jeans and a light rain jacket or hoodie in case the temperature drops.
Most people on the island wear thongs or sandals and dress quite casually. However, you may want to pack a nicer casual pair of shoes or sandals, and perhaps a dress or skirt (or a collared shirt for men) if you’re planning to go somewhere a bit more formal for dinner.
